One Story – One Dream
Issara was created by two brothers from Croatia, Nikola and Filip – a MasterChef-winning chef and a mixologist, connected by a shared love for food, drinks, adventure and hospitality. Phuket is our home for a decade already, and we’ve fallen in love with its culture, its rhythm, and its warmth.
At the same time, our inspiration continues to grow from our travels across Asia, especially Japan, where simplicity, balance, and respect for ingredients guide everything. These influences blend naturally with the European techniques and traditions we were raised and trained with.
Our intention at Issara is simple:
– to create special moments you’ll remember forever.
A dish, a drink, a feeling – something that stays with you, long after your time here.
Every detail in Issara is designed by us personally. The food, the cocktails, the music, the space – all of it carries our hands, hard work, our memories, and our heart. Nothing is rushed, nothing is random. Everything is in its place.
Issara อิสระ means freedom in Thai.
Freedom of creativity and expression, but also, freedom given by brotherhood and family.
